Equipment and Facilities
The battle against water, fire, smoke and mold damage is driven, in many ways, by advances in technology and equipment. Rapid Structural Drying (RSD) is a prime example as it integrates the best elements of psychrometrics (the science of drying) with the latest technology and equipment.
Rainbow Restoration®only uses the most advanced equipment and works to ensure its network of restoration service professionals receive extensive training using the latest innovations in industry technology, equipment and best practices.
State-of-the-Art Training Facilities
To help damage restoration specialists' best prepare for real- life scenarios in the field, Rainbow Restoration maintains two industry-leading training facilities.
Both facilities provide hands-on experience in damage restoration, beginner and advanced training sessions, educational demonstrations for the insurance industry and test-marketing of cleaning and restoration tools under consideration for network use.
Flooding Jack's House
The water restoration facility, known as Jack's House, is a 1,200 square-foot training house built inside a 5,000 square-foot warehouse.
Jack's House is equipped with its own heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system and a variety of other independent features designed to train multiple restoration scenarios simultaneously. Jack's House is regularly flooded and restored.
Specialized training on drying wood floors and Category II and III restoration services for gray and black water contamination are also offered.
Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Learning Center
Rainbow Restoration's latest training innovation provides the opportunity for students to build upon their knowledge base obtained in water damage restoration as they prepare to tackle multiple-scenario jobs.
Inside a climate-controlled multi-room scenario simulator, students interact with experienced instructors, learning the latest techniques in fire and smoke damage restoration. Different types of rooms (i.e. kitchens, bathrooms), burn materials (i.e. organic, inorganic) and surfaces (i.e. tile, paint, stucco) are covered as students learn to apply classroom knowledge to jobsite application.
Students also gather for individual instruction at fully- equipped work stations to cover fire and smoke damage restoration techniques for specific business and household items.
